If you have been reading my blogs for awhile you will know we are huge fans of food tours and Madrid was no exception. I think you can know an amazing dish if you normally don’t like the ingredient, but the dish makes you love it. This was the case with these prawns. The butter and oil was heated in ceramic pots till bubbling then chili, garlic and seasoning added and fresh prawns thrown in. My mouth waters just looking at the picture. It was a bit of a different tour, heavily history based with a few tapas along the way then the last stop was a full meal.

We had some excellent weather and took a walk through the city with sites to see given to Nick by a friend who grew up in Madrid. We took in all the sites as well as a market.

It was a lazy weekend with sun, sights and food = optimal.
